Our professional guiding experience began in 1979 and includes mountain biking, river rafting, sea kayaking, snowshoeing, skiing and backpacking. We are a husband and wife team and love to share our passion and knowledge about Alaska with visitors from all over the world. We are an Alaskan owner-operated business, we don't hire any guides. Every trip is cusom designed and is guided by Bill and Kathi Merchant. We have been in business since 2001 and have guided trips all over the state of Alaska an many rivers and remote areas. Our favorite areas are Katmai National Park and Prince William Sound.

We are also the organizers of the world famous Iditarod Trail Invitational a 350 mile and a 1,100 mile Adventure Race that crosses the Alaska Range in the middle of winter from Knik Lake to Skwentna, Rainy Pass, Nikolai and then to McGrath. And for those looking for the ultimate challenge - all the way to Nome! The roots of this race can be traced back to Iditaski, Iditabike and Iditasport.
We offer winterbike training camps for athletes new to winter ultra racing and winter cycling.
