This is A Release Of Liability

I accept and clearly understand that there are risks involved with participation in the Iditarod Trail Invitational in the Alaskan wilderness that include but are not limited to: winter-camping, biking, running, skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Including, by way of example and not limitation, the encounter of moose, buffalo, wolves,  avalanches, overturning ice rocks,  frostbite, dehydration, hypothermia, falling through thin ice, collision with snowmobiles, dog sleds and air planes. I understand that there are more hazards than are enumerated here, and that there are unknown and unforeseeable hazards. I engage in the activity of the Iditarod Trail Invitational with knowledge of the inherent risks of injury or death.

I agree to participate at my own risk. I therefore, myself, my heirs, successors and representatives hereby knowingly and intentionally waive and release, and agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the race organizers and race volunteers, or their estates from any and all liability for any and all such damage, injury to myself or to any other person or property, including travel from and to Anchorage.

I understand the risks of winter sports, winter-camping, biking, running, skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling and I have carefully read, understand and voluntarily accept the terms of this waiver and release agreement.

Entries for the 2011 race will open April 1, 2010 for race veterans.
starting April 8, 2010 for new racers.

Race to McGrath (350 mile)
Fees: US $1000.00 due at sign-up
Race To Nome (1100 mile)
Fees: US $ 1150.00 due at sign-up

Nome racers except for previous Nome finishers must post a $750.00 refundable bond which will be donated to Iditarod if the racer asks for help from Iditarod trail crews or check points
(except in life threatening situations or serious injury).

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
All fees for evacuations off the course are the racer's responsibility.
